So, I’m really talented at… Procrastinating!

Donna Raymond

Procrastination… Yep, know it all too well! We’re great friends really, though something tells me our interactions are set to become a lot less frequent! hehehe. It’s been an interesting dance these past few weeks with getting my video blog out there. One moment I’m totally inspired and then the next I can’t be assed and decide to fluff around on facecrack. Yes, I’m happy to admit that I’m a bit of a digital junkie and lack the necessary discipline at this stage to really prioritise and keep myself in-check and on track. So procrastinating on the things I know I ought to be doing becomes a habit.

Hi, I’m Donna and I’m a Facecrack addict!

There is lots that I want to do and create and sometimes I find myself overwhelmed just thinking about it all. So I purchased a wall calendar… Scored it for 2 bucks at the newsagecy! WIN. Best 2 bucks spent…EVER! So now there is a weight off my shoulders and a palm in my face….

WHY have I only decided to do this NOW?

Really ready to fulfill my dreaming!!! I am definitely feeling the rise of energy surge through me… giving me constant kicks up the butt and reminders that I need to keep steering me in a course that is not only beneficial to my family… but to the greater good of the community also!

I’m beginning to realise the energy behind my procrastination. The little hidden fears I have about how my life is evolving in an enigmatic haze… that with each day that passes, nothing is ever the same. That even though my life can be rich and complex to some degree- I must strive to find the simplicity and balance within each day. Part of me knows to a certain extent where I am aligned to on my path with heart… The other is just a witness as it all unfolds- weaving a grand tapestry that is my life. Two of my favourite quotes sum up these sentiments exactly!

Feel the Fear and Do it anyway!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

– Marianne Williamson

So with that, I have decided to really lay low in the digital arena. To really focus on some creative projects that require my focussed attention. Dreaming into Being. It’s time for me to knuckle down and implement these new found insights with self discipline. Which is great, as it means I’ll be writing and blogging a bit more! So yay for all you beauties who love to read these blogs… I will have some pearls to share with you soon! xx
